Abstract: A regulatable gene expression construct comprising a nucleic acid molecule comprising a two-way riboswitch operably linked to a target sequence. Also provided is a library screening strategy for efficient creation of target-specific riboswitches. A theophylline-repressible and IPTG-inducible riboswitch device achieves portable control of gene expression control in a ‘two-way’ manner. The default state of target genes is ON; the targets are switched off by adding theophylline, and switched back to the ON-state by adding IPTG without changing growth medium. The riboswitch device regulates gene expression in a portable, adjustable, and two-way manner with a variety of scientific and biotechnological applications.

Abstract: Described herein is a method of treatment of cancer or tumor using a modified bacteria or composition comprising the modified bacteria. In certain embodiments, the method is in combination with other treatment. In certain embodiments, the treatment is chemotherapy, radiation therapy, gene therapy, surgery or a combination thereof. The method makes modified facultative anaerobic bacteria into a conditional obligate anaerobe. The modified bacteria are strictly hypoxia regulated and comprise an essential gene expressing cassette. The vectors of this method comprise the essential gene expressing cassette. Also described herein are therapeutic and prophylactic compositions comprising the modified bacteria. The therapeutic and prophylactic compositions contain a purified form of the modified bacteria, while in certain embodiments, they do not contain other strain of microorganisms. The modified bacteria grow within the solid tumor/cancer, retarding its growth and are rapidly eliminated from normal tissues.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a LPC2468-based MVB-WTB gateway and associated operating methods in the field of train communications. The disclosed network gateway includes a MVB network card and a WTB network card. The WTB network card includes WTB-ARM and a WTB-FPGA module. The MVB network card includes MVB-ARM and MVB-FPGA module. The WTB-ARM module uses a LPC2468 processor to analyze data in the network layer and the data link layer based on gateway protocol. The WTB-FPGA module allows WTB to exchange data with other networks gateways, as well as between the WTB and MVB. The MVB-ARM module is responsible for executing protocols on the network cards. Via data communications on MVB, the MVB-FPGA module collects the process and message data of the MVB equipment, and exchange communication data between WTB within a network gateway. The present invention can increase speed and enhance reliability for communications between gateways.

The inflatable seal is secured to the inner portion of the frame. The inflatable seal defines an internal volume and has at least one aperture. The deformable insert includes an outer surface, an inner surface and a passageway extending therebetween. The deformable insert is positioned within the internal volume of the seal and aligned with at least a portion of the frame inner portion. The passageway is aligned with the frame opening to define a gas flow path from the frame outer portion to the at least one aperture of the seal.

The inner cushion has a toothed profile formed on the face side of the inner cushion. The toothed profile consists of at least one tooth having an apex on the perimeter of the inner cushion. The apex is positioned between two valleys in the perimeter of the inner cushion. In use the apex of each tooth of the toothed profile is in supporting contact with the outer sheath.

Abstract: Therapeutic methods for cancer treatments using a combined prokaryotic-eukaryotic delivery and expression system for the delivery of multiple therapeutic factors via a modified tumor-targeted bacteria. A targeted bacteria-vector system elicits an inter-kingdom dual expression (IKDE) of antitumor agents, in the nucleus or cytoplasm of eukaryotic cells, with priming and maintenance of the vector in the bacterium. The therapeutic factors include small interfering RNAs, tumoricidal proteins, DNA molecules, or a combination thereof. The system provides direct killing of tumor cells and alters the tumor microenvironment by expressing anti-angiogenic factors and cytokines in intracellular and/or extracellular environments. Also provided are methods of using natural exosomes comprising cargoes obtained from the bacterially infected cells. The bacteria-vector system is useful for many types of tumor and cancer as well as recombinant vaccines.

Abstract: A method for detecting an eyes-off-the-road condition based on an estimated gaze direction of a driver of a vehicle includes monitoring facial feature points of the driver within image input data captured by an in-vehicle camera device. A location for each of a plurality of eye features for an eyeball of the driver is detected based on the monitored facial features. A head pose of the driver is estimated based on the monitored facial feature points. The gaze direction of the driver is estimated based on the detected location for each of the plurality of eye features and the estimated head pose.

The locking member is slidably received between the connecting member and the base, and forces the securing pole to disengage from the securing hole when the locking member is pushed. The locking member includes a second bevel abutting to a first bevel of the sliding block. When the locking member is pushed, the sliding block is actuated to pull the securing pole away from the main body.

When the dust filter is pressed into the receiving recess, the dust filter pushes the latching member to slide backward and away from the sidewall, the resilient member is deformed, and the latch disengages from the block, then the resilient member is restored to push the dust filter to slide partially out of the opening.

Arrangement of an AOI system between a terminal application proxy and an AOG converges a large number of data links in the present mobile Internet, lowers the network load, reduces network resource consuming of mobile Internet applications and improves the utilization performance of mobile Internet.
