The processor is configured to determine a flight reference location of the UAV, and control the UAV via the communication circuit such that the UAV flies based on the determined flight reference location and the first flight information.

Therefore, it is possible to determine whether the external apparatus is switched on or off according to a variation in power supplied to the external apparatus, to cut off a power supplied to the external apparatus based on the determination result, and to selectively control a power supplied to components of the broadcast receiving apparatus based on power saving data.

The apparatus and method employ a receiving unit for receiving compressed multimedia signal, a decoder unit for decoding the multimedia signal to convert it into a data stream having a predetermined format, a data compression unit for reducing the amount of data in the data stream by a certain amount and encoding it, a compression select unit for setting a compressibility of the data compression unit, and a storage unit for storing the encoded data. In accordance with the apparatus for recording the multimedia data, in the case where there is no need to record the video data with high quality, it is possible to increase the recording time of the multimedia data by reducing the data amount of the video signal using a variety of compression methods when the multimedia data is recorded in a storage device.

Abstract: A video signal descrambling apparatus capable of restoring a scrambled video signal transmitted from a cable television or commercial broadcasting system to the original standard video signal to permit subscribers to enjoy the scrambled signal and to provide a selective video service to the subscribers. According to the apparatus, a sync signal and information data are separated from the scrambled video signal, and control signals are generated based on the separated sync signal and the data. The artificial sync signal inserted in the scrambled video signal is removed in accordance with the control signal, and the attenuated sync signal in the scrambled video signal is restored to the original sync signal, so that the descrambling of the scrambled video signal is completed.

Abstract: A video signal scrambling apparatus which scrambles a video signal in a cable or commercial broadcasting system to prevent nonsubscribers from viewing the signal and the unwarranted descrambling of the signal. The scrambling apparatus scrambles the video signal in such a manner that a predetermined period of a sync signal is selectively inverted and attenuated, and then an artificial sync signal is inserted into the video signal in which the sync signal is inverted and attenuated, causing the horizontal sync period to be irregular.
