Abstract: Proposed are a method and an apparatus for detecting the diameter of a tubular structure in a medical image. The apparatus may identify the tubular structure in a two-dimensional or three-dimensional medical image, and calculate a distance map indicating a distance from each point inside the tubular structure to a boundary of the tubular structure. The apparatus may also calculate central points, based on a gradient of a distance value in the distance map, and connect the central points to create a center line. The apparatus may further obtain the diameter of the tubular structure for each location by determining a distance between the center line and the boundary of the tubular structure in a direction perpendicular to the center line.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a health care system for companion animals and a method of operating the same. The health care system according to one embodiment of the present disclosure includes a data collector for collecting lifelog data including basic information and biometric information about a user's companion animal; a self-diagnosis device for providing a plurality of questionnaire data to the user to perform self-diagnosis of the health condition of the companion animal and receiving feedback information reflecting a response of the user to the provided questionnaire data from the user; a health condition judgment device for judging the health condition of the companion animal based on the collected lifelog data and the feedback information; and a service determining device for determining at least one health care service to be provided to the user among a health coaching service and a medical service based on the judged health condition.

The high speed solenoid includes: a movable shaft linearly movable in an axial direction; a movable coil unit coupled to the movable shaft; and a magnetic field forming unit forming a magnetic field in a direction perpendicular with respect to that of a current flowing in the movable coil unit, wherein when a current is applied to the movable coil unit, the movable coil unit is moved by a magnetic field formed by the magnetic field forming unit to move the movable shaft. According to the high speed solenoid, the weight of a moving part is significantly reduced, and since an electrical time constant is small, a response speed of the solenoid may be enhanced.
