    Abstract: A system and method for controlling a low-voltage DC-DC converter (LDC) voltage of a hybrid vehicle are provided. The LDC voltage is optimally adjusted based on which driving mode the vehicle enters, thereby improving fuel efficiency. The method includes determining whether the hybrid vehicle is driven in a regenerative braking mode and whether a value of a state of charge (SOC) of an auxiliary battery is equal to or greater than a first critical value set as a value when charging of the auxiliary battery is unnecessary during the driving in the regenerative braking mode. When the value of the SOC of the auxiliary battery is equal to or greater than the predetermined first critical value, the driving mode is switched from the regenerative braking mode to an electric vehicle (EV) mode, and to variably adjust an LDC target voltage in the EV mode.

The method converts a transmission pattern into a pattern that sufficiently secures engine charge power by considering the total amount of electric load when the transmission pattern is determined based on a current SOC state. The method variably controls the transmission pattern of a hybrid vehicle to prevent a battery SOC excessive decrease due to an increase of electric load of a vehicle by reflecting and compensating for the used amount of electric load of a hybrid vehicle when the type of transmission pattern is determined. Also, fuel efficiency is improved based on the improvement of battery charge efficiency by determining the transmission pattern such that the speed of a transmission input terminal increases when the electric load increases and thus securing the engine charge power for the battery charge.

    Abstract: A method and system are provided for variably adjusted voltage of the LDC applied with an IBS (Intelligent Battery Sensor). The LDC output voltage control mode is determined in each of three driving modes, and the high electric loads are separated into two or more groups. The LDC output voltage value and the order priority are differentiated based on the durability of the auxiliary battery. Additionally, an LDC output voltage order table is generated according to the driving mode and the SOC state based on the auxiliary battery SOC information obtained from an IBS. Thus, consumed energy of the LDC and an energy consumption amount of the auxiliary battery are minimized, thus improving fuel efficiency.
