  • Publication number: 20190119672
Abstract: The present invention relates to a multi siRNA complex with increased intracellular transmission capacity and a multi-functional nucleic acid structure complex. The siRNA complex and multi-functional nucleic acid structure complex according to the invention have the advantage of having a novel structure that enables easier chemical synthesis compared to the existing shRNA system used to inhibit expression of a plurality of target genes and also enabling the inhibition of the expression of a plurality of genes at enhanced efficiencies compared to the existing siRNA. In addition, because it has high intracellular transmission capacity and also enables inhibition of the expression of target genes specifically without incurring non-specific antiviral reactions, it is very useful as the therapeutic agent mediated by the siRNA mechanism to treat cancer or viral infection.

  • Patent number: 10164239
Abstract: Disclosed is an energy storage device based on metal oxide nanocrystals resealed through lithiation, and a supercapacitor using the same. The energy storage device is fabricated by dispersing transition metal nanoparticles over a carbon-based support with a large specific surface area, and then, dispersing and resealing the nanoparticles over the support using lithium ions with strong reductive ability, so that the resealed metal particles are substantially particles dispersed and resealed over the support as particles having a size of less than 1 nanometer on the scale of atomic units. The supercapacitor is fabricated using the energy storage device. The energy storage device higher capacitance than before resealing of metal oxide. Since the resealed metal particles are those having a size of less than 1 nanometer on the scale of atomic units, interference between particles disappears to exhibit excellent cycle life characteristics of 100% maintained performance in even more than 100,000 cycles.

  • Patent number: 10035139
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for improving solar energy conversion efficiency using metal oxide photocatalysts having an energy band of core-shell structure for ultraviolet (UV) ray and visible light absorption, comprising a first process of forming a nanoparticle thin film layer; a second process of preparing a core-shell metal oxide on metal oxide nanoparticles by a plasma reaction under a hydrogen and nitrogen gas atmosphere, and a third process of depositing a transition metal on surfaces of core-shell metal oxide nanoparticles to produce a photocatalyst for energy conversion. A great amount of oxygen vacancies is formed in a shell region by the core-shell metal oxide to achieve effects of improving transfer ability of electron-hole pairs excited by light, and extending a wavelength range of absorbable light to a visible light region by changing a band-gap structure.
