  • Patent number: 6512327
Abstract: An improved resin layer used in the manufacture of cathode ray tube assemblies incorporates inorganic particles in the resin. The resin layer with particles is coated on a CRT screen prior to coating with aluminum film. The resin layer is volatilizable, so that following applying the aluminum film, the screen is baked to drive off the resin. The inorganic particles in the resin layer create an uneven boundary with the screen, so that during baking, volatilized resin in the form of gases can escape from between the aluminum and screen without forming bubbles or causing swelling.

  • Patent number: 6310344
Abstract: Disclosed is a wire-type corona charger having a wire electrode disposed between ground electrode plates. The wire electrode is supported by the ends of the plurality of wire electrode supporters which are so arranged that their ends have a curvature equal to arcuately-shaped upper edge of the ground electrode plates. The curvature coincides with one of the curvatures of the horizontal axis and the vertical axis of the interior surface of the panel faceplate, while the charger is pivoted along the other curvature of the faceplate. The charger can uniformly charge the photoconductive layer and improves the charging efficiency.

  • Patent number: 6165657
Abstract: A method of electrophotographically manufacturing a viewing screen including a filter layer of pigment particles for a cathode-ray tube (CRT), which comprises the steps of first-coating of volatilizable conductive layer, second-coating the conductive layer with a volatilizable photoconductive layer, first-establishing a uniform electrostatic charge over the whole surface of the photoconductive layer, first-exposing selected areas of the photoconductive layer to a light source, first-developing the discharged, exposed areas with one kind of charged pigment particles, and fixing the developed pigment particles to the photoconductive layer to form a filter layer beneath one of first to third color-emitting phosphor particles. Then, the one of first to third color-emitting phosphor particles is formed on the filter layer by a electrophotographically manufacturing method.

  • Patent number: 5827628
Abstract: The method of electrophotographically manufacturing a screen on an interior surface of a faceplate for a CRT, according to the present invention comprises the steps of first-coating the faceplate with a volatilizable conductive layer, second-coating the conductive layer with the first photoconductive layer including a dye sensitive to ultraviolet rays, third-coating the ultraviolet-photoconductive layer with a second photoconductive layer including a dye sensitive to visible light, charging the whole area of the second photoconductive layer by exposing the whole surface of the second photoconductive layer to visible light while applying a suitable DC voltage between the conductive layer and the second photoconductive layer, and exposing selected areas of said first photoconductive layer to ultraviolet rays through a shadow mask to discharge the charge from the selected areas of the first photoconductive layer. Then, in developing a uniform density of the screen structure material is obtained.

  • Patent number: 5814528
Abstract: A fabrication method for a test piece for observing non-contact regions in a pair of bonded semiconductor substrates includes thinning one substrate of a pair of bonded semiconductor substrates, grade-polishing the thinned semiconductor substrate and the bonded semiconductor substrates to have a predetermined graded angle relative their bonded surfaces, and dry-etching an area around the bonded surfaces of the grade-polished semiconductor substrates to reveal faults. With the thusly fabricated test piece, micro non-contact regions can be simply observed and crystal faults existing on the bonded surfaces as well as in the micro non-contact regions can be easily detected.
