    Abstract: A coffee apparatus comprises a coffee grinder which receives the coffee beans from a chamber which has a hermetically-sealed lid and a manually-operable venting valve, a sealing assembly for the outlet of the chamber, a vacuum pump capable of evacuating the chamber and a pressure switch connected to the vacuum pump and the chamber by a T-connector for turning on the pump to maintain a vacuum in the chamber when pressure in the chamber rises.
