  • Publication number: 20060168982
Abstract: A heat exchanger of an air conditioner is disclosed whereby refrigerant is not biased to a particular heat exchange line but evenly flows in all heat exchange lines. The heat exchanger includes a housing having air inlets and an air outlet; and a plurality of heat exchange lines each formed inside the housing in a serpentine shape for refrigerant to flow and switch the flow direction. The plurality of heat exchange lines are arranged in such a manner that each line crosses each other before and after the infusion directions of air introduced via the air inlets. Each heat exchange line is substantially the same diameter and length. An air quantity initially contacting each heat exchange line is substantially the same, and a heat exchanged quantity of the refrigerant passing through each heat exchange line is substantially the same.

  • Publication number: 20060162356
Abstract: A capacity-variable air conditioner is capable of controlling capacity and consumed electricity in response to operation mode. The refrigerant compression quantity of a compressor is variably adjusted by control of open/close operation modes via selective combination of open/close valves of bypass pipes and bypass valve of the compressor in response to the operation mode. The capacity-variable air conditioner discharges some of the refrigerant infused into the compressor while the bypass valve of the compressor is opened under energy saving operation mode, such that refrigerant circulation quantity can be adjustably reduced under the energy saving operation mode where load of the compressor is less than that of a normal operation mode, thereby enabling a reduction in the capacity and consumed electricity.

  • Publication number: 20050241811
Abstract: Provided is a high-performance heat exchanger. A porous material is formed on one side of the heat exchanger. The porous material exchanges heat with a coolant pipe and/or a fin. Pores formed in the porous material improve exchanging heat with the air, thereby improving a heat exchanging performance of the heat exchanger.

  • Publication number: 20050190304
Abstract: Disclosed herein is RF modulator with a narrow bandpass filter. The RF modulator for modulating video and audio signals into RF signals corresponding to a frequency band of a predetermined channel includes an oscillation unit for generating a predetermined RF signal suitable for the frequency band of the predetermined channel; a mixer for modulating the video and audio signals using the RF signal generated from the oscillation unit; and a narrow bandpass filter for receiving an RF-modulated signal from the mixer, and passing only a signal of the frequency band of the predetermined channel from among the RF-modulated signal. Therefore, the RF modulator can remove or block unnecessary components such as lower side band and harmonic-frequency signals generated after video and audio signals have been RF-modulated, such that it can prevent interference between channels from being generated, resulting in the creation of more excellent video and audio signals.

  • Publication number: 20050132397
Abstract: A method for graphically displaying an audio frequency component in a digital broadcast receiver. The method for graphically displaying the audio frequency component in the digital broadcast receiver includes the steps of: extracting a plurality of frequency-band components associated with an audio stream during a decoding process of the audio stream; and generating graphic data corresponding to the extracted frequency-band components, and displaying the graphic data on a screen. Therefore, a frequency component of the encoded audio stream is efficiently extracted without using an additional device or consuming an additional power, and a user can graphically view a frequency component of audio data on a TV screen simultaneously with listening to the audio data.

  • Publication number: 20050089740
Abstract: The present invention relates to a solid oxide fuel cell for internal reforming of hydrocarbons and carbon dioxide, in particular, to a solid oxide fuel cell in which one side of solid oxide electrolyte (YSZ) is attached to an air electrode (La0.8Sr0.2MnO3) and its other side is attached to a catalyst electrode of Ni-YSZ type or perovskite type metal oxide. The electrochemical conversion system using the solid oxide fuel cell permits the occurrence of internal reforming of hydrocarbons and carbon dioxide concomitantly with the coproduction of a syngas and electricity, and overcomes the shortcomings associated with the catalytic deactivation due to carbon deposition and the high-energy consumption.
