  • Patent number: 11984330
Abstract: A substrate processing system includes a processing chamber, a substrate support, a laser, and a collimating assembly. The substrate support is disposed in the processing chamber and is configured to support a substrate. The laser is configured to generate a laser beam. The collimating assembly includes lenses or mirrors arranged to direct the laser beam at the substrate to heat an exposed material of the substrate. The lenses or mirrors are configured to direct the laser beam in a direction within a predetermined range of being perpendicular to a surface of the substrate.

  • Patent number: 5375453
Abstract: A method and apparatus for approximating the life of a gasket used in a predetermined environment is provided which allows for the long-term exposure to the environment to be simulated over a shortened period of time. The method and apparatus utilize the steps of placing a gasket sample in a test assembly, clamping the gasket sample within the test assembly at a predetermined clamping pressure whereby a chamber is formed within the interior of the gasket sample, filling the chamber with a gas at a predetermined pressure from a gas fill system, changing the temperature of the gasket sample over a predetermined number of temperature cycles, and measuring the amount of the gas which leaks from the chamber. The apparatus may also include a pressure control system for changing the pressure within the chamber over a predetermined number of pressure cycles or in response to predetermined temperature conditions.

  • Patent number: 5201511
Abstract: A device for restraining abrupt pouring of the papers for paper supply cassette. The device comprises a pair of turning members each disposed about each front side portion of a box-shaped housing of said paper supply cassette, and tension coil spring. The turning member comprises a supporter having a horizonal part and a vertical part, and an actuating lever having a horizontally extending connecting part and a downwardly extending actuating part integrally formed with said connecting part. The tension coil spring is disposed between the side wall of the housing and the connecting part in order to bias said turning member counterclockwise. The device according to this invention provides advantage in that it supports the front ends of the papers in the cassette, thereby preventing the abrupt pouring of the papers efficiently.

  • Patent number: 5200828
Abstract: A method for autofocusing a video camera, adjusting the focus by defining the focus range in which the contrast signal is extracted, generating the control clock pulse having higher frequencies than the video signal during the occurrence period of horizontal and vertical synchronizing signals corresponding to the focus range, sampling the video signals obtained in the image pick-up elements by means of the control clock pulses, converting this sampled signal into digital signal, generating the digital differential signal which represents the difference between the values of one control clock pulse earlier one and current one, producing the digital weighted signal by transforming the digital differential signal by means of the nonlinear weight value, integrating the digital weighted signals for one or more fields or frames to obtain the focusing value, and moving the focusing lensd based on the focusing value to the location where the focusing value approximately reaches the maximum.

  • Patent number: 5098294
Abstract: A dental implant comprises an elongated body and a supporting ring each with a concave surfaces which cooperate to secure a shock force dampening member so as to simulate natural tooth movement. The components of the implant are tensioned together in the presence and absence of chewing forces to prevent foreign particle invasion between and into the components of the implant. Optionally, an adhesive bonds the elongated body and the supporting ring to the shock force dampening member further preventing foreign particle invasion between and into the components of the implant. The implant is secured to the jaw bone by a socket or the like.
