  • Publication number: 20020125813
Abstract: A cathode-ray tube for preventing electrification and shielding electromagnetic waves and manufacturing method thereof are provided. A cathode ray tube of the invention includes a transparent conductive film and a transparent insulating protective film, an electrode formed on at least a part of an inactive screen and on sides of the panel portion before the transparent conductive film and the transparent insulating protective film are coated; and a conductive tape an coated with a conductive adhesive, electrically connecting the electrode and an explosive-proof band. According to this invention, a panel of the cathode ray tube is grounded by an electrode being in direct contact with a transparent conductive film, which provides more effective grounding than that through a protective film.

  • Patent number: 6407497
Abstract: There are provided a composition for forming a conductive layer comprising 0.01˜0.1% by weight of a conductive black pigment, 0.05˜10% by weight of a binder,0.01˜50% by weight of a conductive agent, and the remaining amount of a solvent on the basis of the total weight of the composition, and a cathode ray tube (CRT) having the conductive layer formed by coating the composition on the outer surface of a panel, drying and heating the same, and a protective layer formed on the conductive layer. The conductive layer formed using the composition has excellent conductivity, contrast characteristics and film properties. Also, a clean color purity and high-quality body color are attained.

  • Patent number: 6366012
Abstract: A CRT has an improved contrast with the provision of a filter layer where nano-sized metal particles and colored particles are dispersed in a dielectric matrix to selectively absorb light in predetermined wavelengths, specifically wavelengths between peak wavelengths of primary colors emitted by phosphors coated on the inner surface of the faceplate. The improved contrast is a result of the metal particles in a dielectric matrix resonating with particular wavelengths and thus absorbing them.

  • Patent number: 6351063
Abstract: A composition for forming a conductive film, a method for preparing the same, and a cathode ray tube (CRT) employing the conductive film formed using the composition are disclosed. In the composition for forming a conductive film according to the present invention, conductive black pigment particles are bonded to a network of an organic-inorganic composite sol and are uniformly dispersed in the network. Thus, the conductive film prepared using the composition of the present invention is stable even under a change of conditions such as temperature or humidity. Further, a CRT employing the conductive film formed using the conductive composition of the present invention is excellent in view of contrast characteristics, resolution and film properties, and has an improved body color and a good picture image.

  • Patent number: 6335056
Abstract: A transparent conductive composition, a transparent conductive layer formed of the composition and a manufacturing method thereof are provided The composition contains a transparent conductive particle, metal alkoxide [M1(OR)4]; metal (M2) particles or salt thereof (M2X) and a catalyst. Here, the metal alkoxide [M1(OR)4] is one selected from the group consisting of Si(OR)4, Ti(OR)4, Sn(OR)4 and Zr(OR)4, where R is C1-C4 alkyl, and the metal (M2) is at least one selected from the group consisting of silver (Ag), gold (Au), platinum (Pt), copper (Cu), nickel (Ni), lead (Pb), cobalt (Co), rhodium (Rh), ruthenium (Ru) and tin (Sn), and X is one selected from the group consisting of chloride, nitrate and sulfonate. Therefore, a transparent conductive layer having improved conductivity, transmittance and hardness can be obtained through a low-temperature sintering process.
