  • Patent number: 8199700
Abstract: The present invention relates to an interworking device for interworking with a first network and exchanging data between a second network and a terminal device. The interworking device establishes a first wireless data path with the first network, and receives a first network address from an address allocation server of the first network through the first wireless data path. In addition, the interworking device establishes a second wireless data path with the terminal device, receives a second network address from an address allocation server of the second network through the second wireless data path, and transmits the second network address to the terminal device. Subsequently, the interworking device establishes a tunnel that passes through the first network and is accessed to the second network, and exchanges data with the second network.

  • Patent number: 8054814
Abstract: Disclosed is an interworking device for interworking with a first network and supporting signaling between a terminal and a second network. The interworking device sets a first wireless data path with the first network. The interworking device sets a first radio link with the terminal, receives an authentication message through a first radio link, and transmits the authentication message to an authentication server of the second network through the first wireless data path. When the authentication server finishes authentication, the interworking device sets a second wireless data path with the terminal. Accordingly, the interworking device provides an Internet service to the terminal during movement.

  • Patent number: 6961287
Abstract: A time-error-compensating apparatus and method corrects errors in a real-time clock caused by temperature fluctuations or other external influences. The apparatus includes a frequency counting unit which counts a high-frequency clock signal and a low-frequency clock signal, and a time compensating unit which computes a clock count compensation value based on a comparison of the count values of of the low-frequency and high-frequency clock signals. Correcting time using a high-frequency clock is highly desirable because a clock of this type has proven to be accurate in high external stress conditions. Use of this clock also allows the real-time clock to be implemented as a low-frequency, inexpensive low-frequency clock. The method and apparatus are well suited to correcting time information in the terminals of a mobile communications system, or in any other system or device where time tracking is sought.

  • Patent number: 5979501
Abstract: Fluid distributing apparatus for radial piston-type hydraulic pumps or motors is disclosed. In the apparatus, a valve casing is mounted to a housing of the pump or motor. A plate valve is seated in the central portion of the valve casing and selectively rotates while maintaining a dynamic balance. A fluid distributing plate and a pressure plate are arranged in the valve casing and are brought into close contact with top and bottom surfaces of the plate valve, thereby allowing the plate valve to selectively rotate under the state of dynamic balance. A retaining ring is interposed between the fluid distributing plate and the pressure plate and surrounds the plate valve, thereby removing dynamic friction from relatively-moving portions of the plate valve, pressure plate and fluid distributing plate.
