Specifically, the combinative treatment with gossypol and phenformin was verified to have a significantly higher anticancer activity than a single treatment with gossypol and phenformin alone. Therefore, the pharmaceutical composition of the present invention containing gossypol and phenformin having a synergetic anticancer activity can be favorably used for cancer treatment.
