    Abstract: A flat panel display comprises: a transparent substrate having a first display portion and a second display portion; at least one first organic light emitting diode positioned in the first display portion for emitting light in a first direction perpendicular to the transparent substrate, and having a first lower electrode, a first upper electrode, and a first organic emission layer interposed between the first lower electrode and the first upper electrode; and at least one second organic light emitting diode positioned in the second display portion for emitting light in a second direction opposite to the first direction, and having a second lower electrode, a second upper electrode, and a second organic emission layer interposed between the second lower electrode and the second upper electrode. As a result, the flat panel display is fabricated using one substrate to display both screens such that one of the screens is displayed while the other is not displayed.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a call control method for handoff guarantee in a mobile terminal for minimizing handoff failure rate which continuously guarantees the same quality of service is during handoff of an existing call from the current cell into a new cell in a high-speed radio communication network which is constituted of micro-cells to support multimedia traffic. The bandwidth reservation is performed in the adjacent cells, call approval control is performed by temporarily storing a handoff request into a queue when an available bandwidth is insufficient, and a radio bandwidth is dynamically managed so as to efficiently use communication network resources. Further, new call block rate and handoff failure rate are periodically monitored for adaptation to dynamic variation of the communication network traffic state, by which the amount of a reserved bandwidth is dynamically adjusted according to the state so as to efficiently use communication network resources.

    Abstract: A method for dynamically locating a wireless TCP proxy in a routing path in a wired/wireless integrated network is provided. A proxy for a mobile host transmits a proxy change request to a first higher-level proxy if a mobility of the mobile host is larger than a mobility threshold that is preset in the proxy. The first higher-level proxy determines whether the mobility of the mobile host is larger than a mobility threshold that is preset in the first higher-level proxy. The first higher-level proxy transmits a proxy change request packet to a second higher-level proxy if the mobility of the mobile host is larger than the mobility threshold of the first higher-level proxy. The second higher-level proxy selectively permits the proxy change if the mobility of the mobile host is smaller than the mobility threshold of the second higher-level proxy.

Portable multimedia data input/output processor can be made smaller by using a pen as an input device and can also process a large quantity of multimedia data at a high speed by adopting a PCI bus as a local bus of a system. To retrieve, compress, and decompress multimedia data, main components of this portable multimedia data input/output processor are comprised of audio codec for compressing and decompressing audio data, video codec controller for compressing and decompressing video data, and multimedia processor for transmitting audio data to wireless communication controller and video data to video codec controller and to graphic processor. The method for retrieving multimedia data includes steps of receiving data, de-interleaving received data into audio, video, and graphic data, decompressing the data, and outputting the data to output device.
