Abstract: An ink-jet image forming apparatus includes an ink-jet head having a nozzle unit having a length in a main scanning direction corresponding to a width of a printing medium, a platen to face the nozzle unit, to support a rear side of the printing medium, and to form a paper conveying path, and a wiping unit to clean the nozzle unit. The platen has a printing location in which the paper conveying path is formed, a maintenance location different from the printing location, and a replacement location in which the wiping unit is replaced.

Abstract: A one-molding frame of an image forming apparatus includes a feeding part to feed sheets of paper one by one, a printing unit with a printing module provided along a paper feeding passage to form an image on the paper fed from the feeding module, and an ejecting unit with an ejecting module to eject and stack the paper after the printing unit forms the image on the paper. The printing module includes an array type inkjet head with a nozzle unit having a length corresponding to a width of the paper, and the printing unit includes at least one aligning mark to align the inkjet head. The one-molding frame improves an alignment precision between the one-molding frame and the inkjet head and a head gap precision between the inkjet head and the paper. Further, a manufacturing cost of the image forming apparatus can be reduced by employing the one-molding frame.

Abstract: An inkjet image forming apparatus includes a cap member, a wiper, a nozzle unit, and a platen. The cap member and the wiper face the nozzle unit and are located at a position lower than an upper surface of the platen that constitutes a paper delivery path. The platen is moveable to a printing position constituting a paper delivery path and a maintenance position that leaves the printing position such that the wiper and the cap member can access the nozzle unit.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an inkjet head having a length corresponding to a width of a printing medium and a nozzle unit formed with a plurality of nozzles, a platen installed under the inkjet head to support the printing medium, a wiping roller to wipe the nozzle unit, and a carriage unit to cause the wiping roller to make contact with the nozzle unit to absorb ink while the carriage unit rotates the platen and the carriage unit places the wiping roller wiping the nozzle unit apart from the nozzle unit while the carriage unit returns the platen to an original position.

The plurality of document output rollers rotate in the same direction, and each of the document output rollers has a shaft that is a rotational center and a plurality of roller bodies arranged to be separated from one another along a lengthwise direction of the shaft.

An unlocking part is located on the printer. The scanner has a stopper accommodator that vertically penetrates the scanner at a position that corresponds to the unlocking part. A locking part is located on the scanner cover at a position that corresponds to the position of the stopper accommodator. A stopper is movably accommodated in the stopper accommodator and has a first end and a second end. The first end of the stopper contacts the unlocking part and the second end contacts the locking part.

Abstract: A registration device, an image forming apparatus having the registration device, and a paper registration method are provided. The registration device includes, a registration roller, a registration lever, an actuator, and a returning unit. The registration lever contacts paper when the paper is drawn into the registration roller and moves between an alignment position and an open position. In the alignment position, the registration lever blocks the paper from proceeding further and aligns the paper. In the open position, the paper proceeds past the lever. An actuator selectively allows the registration lever to move from the alignment position to the open position. A returning unit returns the registration lever to an initial position.

The image forming apparatus includes an inkjet printhead that prints an image by ejecting ink on paper and has an ink refill hole through which the inkjet printhead is refillable with ink. A cover is disposed over the ink refill hole. A door covers part of a housing when closed and exposes the covered part of the housing when opened so that the inkjet printhead is accessible. A sensor detects whether the door is open or closed and outputs a door open signal or a door closed signal based on the detection results. An electrical actuator is coupled to the cover and lifts up or down the cover in response to the door open signal or the door closed signal.

Abstract: A scanning apparatus and a method of preventing damage of gear may include a driving roller to transfer a document sheet while being in contact with a scanning glass of a reading unit and configured to be spaced-apart from the scanning glass so that a jammed sheet can be removed, a driving gear joined to the driving roller, a power transmitting gear to be selectively engaged with the driving gear so as to supply a rotational force of a driving motor to the driving roller, a first sensor installed at a front side of the driving roller to detect a document sheet, a controlling portion to control a scanning process, wherein the controlling portion controls the power transmitting portion to be spaced-apart from the driving gear when the first sensor cannot detect the document sheet.

Abstract: A feeding roller shaft supporter for an ink-jet printer having a feeding roller shaft, including a main chassis which forms a frame of an ink-jet printer; a first supporting unit in the main chassis supporting opposite ends of the feeding roller shaft; a driving member provided at a first end of the feeding roller shaft; an axial position correction unit mounted on the feeding roller shaft close to the driving member, correcting an axial position of the feeding roller shaft; and a second supporting unit supporting the feeding roller shaft, wherein the second supporting unit is provided on a second end of the feeding roller shaft, preventing the shaking of the feeding roller shaft caused by thrust when the feeding roller shaft rotates.
