  • Patent number: 8148904
Abstract: The present invention relates to a field emission apparatus and a method of driving the field emission apparatus, which has a three-pole structure of dual emitters formed on both first and second electrodes of a rear substrate in order to obviate a distinction between a gate and a cathode, thus enabling dual field emission. In such a field emission apparatus, a ground is formed between an anode and a point of the first and second electrodes of the rear substrate, and a square wave is applied thereto in order to alternately generate field emission in the first and second electrodes, thus increasing a light-emitting area and emission efficiency, decreasing a driving voltage and consumption power, saving the manufacturing cost and manufacturing time, and accomplishing a longer lifespan.

  • Publication number: 20110037400
Abstract: A constant current driving circuit for a field emission device has a ground current of an anode electrode measured in real time and the measured ground current is fedback to vary the frequency and duty ratio of a voltage applied to gate and cathode electrodes of the field emission device, thereby causing the ground current of the anode electrode to be constantly maintained. The field emission device has an anode electrode formed on a front substrate, gate and cathode electrodes formed on a rear substrate disposed opposite to the front substrate to be spaced apart from the front substrate by a predetermined distance, and an emitter formed on a top surface of the cathode electrode.

  • Publication number: 20100194295
Abstract: The present invention relates to a field emission device. More specifically, the present invention may prohibit unnecessary voltage from being applied to an anode electrode during non-operating time that no voltage is applied to a gate electrode to reduce driving power, prohibit electrons from being emitted with unnecessary high voltage which is applied to the anode electrode to increase luminous efficiency, and reduce a time that unnecessary high voltage is applied to the anode electrode to extend life time of the field emission device, by applying AC voltage to the anode electrode to correspond to a time that voltage is applied to the gate electrode and a type of voltage which is applied to the gate electrode.

  • Patent number: 6256075
Abstract: A securing structure for VESA cover of a LCD monitor. The securing structure has a rear cover, a VESA cover, a shield, and a plurality of extended nuts. The rear cover has a depression formed on a predetermined location of the rear surface. A plurality of first through holes are formed at an indented portion of the depression. The VESA cover has a plurality of second through holes formed at locations corresponding to the first through holes and the second through holes engage the depression of the rear cover. The shield is placed at inner side of the rear cover and has a plurality of third through holes at locations corresponding to the first and the second through holes. The extended nuts are inserted into the third holes of the shield. Engaging screws penetrate the first and the second through holes and engage the extended nuts so that said VESA cover is installed onto the squared depression of the rear cover.
