  • Publication number: 20090274876
Abstract: A match of two brightness enhancement films including a first brightness enhancement film having laterally arranged microstructures and a second brightness enhancement film having longitudinally arranged microstructures. The microstructures of one of the brightness enhancement films include lenses, while those of the other one of the brightness enhancement films are either lenses or prisms. The match of two brightness enhancement films features light condensation in both longitudinal and lateral directions and realization of optimized brightness and viewing angle for liquid crystal displays (LCDs) with the different microstructure configurations formed on the two brightness enhancement films.

  • Publication number: 20090219723
Abstract: A brightness enhancement film comprising a plurality of closely arranged lens microstructures. Each lens microstructure has a cross section having an apex and two included side faces. At least one of the side faces forms a curved surface. The brightness enhancement film not only realizes light condensation but also optimizes brightness and viewing angle by means of the curved surface formed on at least one of the side faces of the cross section thereof.

  • Patent number: 6229780
Abstract: A case bordering structure for externally suspending a CD drive located at an inside wall of two lateral boards of the case for preventing an optical disk processing unit from swaying rearward. It includes a pair of stopping flanges and stoppers. Each flange respectively extends from the lateral board toward the interior of the case for engaging with a rear side of the optical disk processing unit. Each stopper is formed as a bulge adjacent to a rear end of the stopping flange for reinforcement of the stopping flange. The stopping flange and the stopper are integrally and unitarily formed with the case. The case bordering structure for externally suspending a CD drive in accordance with the present invention has a small number of components and may be produced with high yield at low cost.

  • Patent number: 6094409
Abstract: A disk player is provided to include a tray and a chassis, a traverse and an elastic device. Responsive to an instruction from a user, the tray selectively feeds in and ejects out. The chassis defines an inner side wall and inner bottom wall with the inner side wall extending out at a predetermined location to form a first protrusion and with the inner bottom wall extending out at another predetermined location to form a second protrusion. The first protrusion and second protrusion together defines a space. A traverse has a bracket on which a V-shaped retainer is provided with a first end thereof connected to one end of the bracket. The V-shaped retainer and the first protrusion define a slot in which the elastic device is disposed. The elastic device presses the V-shaped retainer and the first protrusion such that the vibration of the bracket during operation of the disk player is lowered.

  • Patent number: 6052352
Abstract: The invention provides a removable retain apparatus for a disc within a disc player. When the disc player of the type is disposed horizontally and the retainer is not needed any more, the user may easily disassembly the removable retainer. The disc player has a tray within which a cavity is provided to accommodate the disc and the cavity defines a circumference along which a plurality of grooves on the tray and each corresponding removable retain apparatus is provided. The removable retain apparatus includes a disc holder, a pivot pin and a elastic device. The pivot pin has a cap portion and a root portion. The disc holder has a predetermined thickness and has a shaft inserted within one corresponding groove located along the circumference defined by the cavity. The shaft has a first slot running through the thickness of the disc holder and a second slot disposed at a predetermined angle with respect to the first slot.

  • Patent number: 5561653
Abstract: An ejector apparatus of a tray device is provided. The tray device movably seats within the space of an electronic equipment. The ejector apparatus includes a support and an ejector. The support has a attachment apparatus adapted to mount on a chassis of the electronic equipment. The ejector pushes the tray device out of the electronic equipment in response to a force applied from the outside of the electronic equipment. The ejector is pivotally connected to the support.
