Abstract: A packet transmission method includes: receiving, by a forwarding device through a port, a protocol packet from another forwarding device or user equipment; performing, by the forwarding device, virtual extensible local area network VXLAN encapsulation on the protocol packet to generate a first VXLAN packet, where the first VXLAN packet includes the protocol packet and the port information; and sending, by the forwarding device, the first VXLAN packet to the controller.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present application disclose a load sharing method, apparatus, and system. The method includes: obtaining, by a controller, a load parameter of a target network device; determining, by the controller according to the load parameter, whether the target network device is in an overloaded state; and sending, by the controller, first configuration information to the target network device when the target network device is in the overloaded state, where the target network device is configured to be in a first state according to the first configuration information, and the first state instructs the target network device to delay or skip returning a PADO packet when receiving a PADI packet. According to the embodiments of the present application, not only load of network devices in a network is more balanced, but also a difficulty in implementing network load balance is small and costs are low.

Abstract: This application provides a method, device, and system for processing a VXLAN packet. The method includes: obtaining, by a controller, a request message for requesting allocation of a VNI, obtaining the VNI and a VXLAN security policy corresponding to the VNI according to the request message, and delivering the VNI and the VXLAN security policy corresponding to the VNI to a network device. When encapsulating a VXLAN packet, a network device used as a transmit end applies the corresponding VXLAN security policy according to the VNI to encrypt the VXLAN packet. When decapsulating the VXLAN packet, a network device used as a receive end applies the corresponding VXLAN security policy according to the VNI to decrypt the encrypted VXLAN packet.

Abstract: In the field of network communications, an 802.1Q in 802.1Q (QinQ) packet processing method and a QinQ packet processing device are provided. The processing method includes: generating a keyword according to at least a virtual local area network (VLAN) identification (VLAN ID) of a QinQ packet; matching the keyword with prefix-mask in a QinQ access table to obtain a matching entry in the QinQ access table; and processing the QinQ packet according to control information of the matching entry. Through the QinQ packet processing method and device, VLAN ID ranges requiring to occupy multiple QinQ access table entries in the prior art are aggregated into one QinQ access table entry through aggregation, so as to expand the number of VLAN ID users actually supported by a QinQ access table and save valuable entry resources of the QinQ access table.
