  • Patent number: 11952278
Abstract: The present invention belongs to the technical field of biomass carbon materials, and relates to a lignin porous carbon nanosheet, a preparation method therefor, and an application thereof in supercapacitor electrode materials. The method of the present invention performs layer-by-layer self-assembly of sulfonated lignin and oxalate in a selective solvent to prepare a layer-by-layer self-assembled lignin/oxalate composite, which is then carbonized and pickled to obtain the lignin porous carbon nanosheets. The lignin porous carbon nanosheets prepared by the above method of the present invention have a specific surface area of 200-1500 m2/g, a micropore specific surface area of 100-500 m2/g, a mesoporous specific surface area of 100-1000 m2/g, a pore diameter of 0.5-30 nm, and a pore volume of 0.5-1.5 cm3/g; they can be applied to supercapacitor electrode materials, showing higher specific capacitance and excellent rate performance (with a specific capacitance retention rate of 76.

  • Patent number: 6920120
Abstract: A system and method of scheduling radio resources in a packet-switched wireless communications network. A plurality of data packets from a plurality of users are placed in a First-In-First-Out (FIFO) queue and are sequentially selected and analyzed for transmission. If a selected packet has an instantaneous radio channel quality (C/I) greater than a historical channel quality value, the packet is transmitted. If the instantaneous C/I is not greater than the historical value, it is determined whether the selected packet has been held for longer than a threshold time period. If so, the selected packet is transmitted. If neither condition is met, the selected packet is temporarily held in its position in the queue while analyzing the next packet for transmission. If no packets qualify for transmission, the packet in the first position is transmitted. After each transmission, the analysis starts again at the head of the queue.

  • Patent number: 6650904
Abstract: Methods for optimizing an uplink power window associated with a radio receiver, wherein the uplink power window is defined by upper (PU) and lower (PL) power levels. In an exemplary embodiment, the method includes the steps of: i) determining a carrier signal strength (C) and an interference level (I); ii) calculating a carrier-to-interference ratio (C/I); iii) comparing the carrier-to-interference ratio (C/I) to a predefined target value; and iv) if the carrier-to-interference ratio (C/I) is less than the predefined target value, increasing the size of the uplink power window, otherwise, if the carrier-to-interference ratio (C/I) is greater than the predefined target value, decreasing the size of the uplink power window. By using the methods of the present invention, the uplink power window of a radio receiver can be dynamically-adapted to effectively minimize uplink interference while maintaining satisfactory quality of service.

  • Patent number: 6519731
Abstract: A system, method, and apparatus for assuring the availability of packet sequence numbers in an adaptive hybrid-ARQ coding scheme are presented. In a hybrid-ARQ coding scheme with multiple forward error correction (FEC) rates, a parameter is defined based on the highest data rate and the lowest data rate, whereby the parameter, N, is equivalent to the number of packets required to retransmit a packet which was initially transmitted at the highest FEC rate now at the lowest FEC rate. A header module which assembles the packet headers increments the packet number of packets in sequential increments which assure the availability of N sequence numbers. The availability of N sequence numbers permits the coding sequence to retransmit a packet using the lowest FEC rate without disrupting the sequential ordering of each packet.
