    Abstract: Disclosed are a holographic image display device and a method for driving the same which may stabilize luminance of a holographic image and reduce flicker. The holographic image display device includes a laser backlight unit, a surface light converter converting laser light emitted from the laser backlight unit into surface light-type laser light and emitting the surface light-type laser light, a spatial light modulator (SLM) implementing an input holographic interference pattern and projecting a holographic image at a viewing point using the surface light-type laser light, and an optical switching unit located between the laser backlight unit and the SLM and controlling polarization of the laser light. The optical switching unit blocks laser light emitted to the SLM in a blocking mode, and transmits the laser light emitted to the SLM in a transmission mode.

The sintered metal is produced by kneading metal powder, pressure molding the kneaded powder, and sintering the molded powder. The sintered metal is further produced by subzero treating the sintered metal powder for a predetermined time and tempering the resulting sintered metal powder under a predetermined compression residual stress.

The clock selection circuit receives a selection signal that is maintained at a first logic level for a predetermined time from the time when power is initially supplied and has a second logic level. The clock selection circuit selects a first clock signal and outputs the first clock signal as a second clock signal when the selection signal is maintained at the first logic level. The clock selection circuit selects the data strobe signal and outputs the data strobe signal as the second clock signal when the selection signal is maintained at the second logic level.
