    Abstract: A mechanism for enabling a user to vary the scale or zoom of image data for aspect ratio conversion using a graphical user interface is disclosed. A user may move a selector of the graphical user interface to one end for selecting a linear scaling, to the other end for selecting a parabolic scaling or in between for selecting a scaling associated with another function, thereby enabling a user to vary the magnitude of the scaling across the image data. A parametric function with a single parameter may be used to scale the image data, where the movement of the selector may change the parameter and consequently vary the scaling of the image data. In this manner, a user may efficiently vary or select the scaling of the image data using a graphical user interface to reduce objectionable distortion associated with changing the aspect ratio of the image data.

    Abstract: In a method of classifying streaming media data, one or more media servers are identified. In response, the media servers are added to a list of media servers. It is determined that one or more messages sent by one or more clients are sent to a first media server included on the list of media servers. In response, the one or more clients are added to a list of clients that is associated with the first media server. It is determined that a request for streaming media is sent to the first media server by a first client included on the list of clients. In response, a rule to determine whether subsequent traffic between the first media server and the first client is utilized. Data packets within the subsequent traffic are classified as high priority when the data packets satisfy the rule.

    Abstract: In a method of classifying streaming media data, a media server may be identified by monitoring packets transmitted on a wireless network between a server and a client. A rule to identify the data associated with the media server may be generated in response to identifying the media server. A streaming media data request may be detected from the data associated with the media server. In response to detecting the streaming media data request, data packets sent by the media server may be classified based on the generated rule.
