  • Publication number: 20240383310
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling a battery system includes a high voltage battery mounted on a vehicle, high voltage loads electrically connected to the high-voltage battery, and a processor. The processor determines a peak at which an instantaneous output of the high voltage battery exceeds a preset reference range, determines a target load among the high voltage loads electrically connected to the high voltage battery, and enters a peak reduction control period for reducing the peak to control power consumption of the target load.

  • Patent number: 12126197
Abstract: A device for supplying power from a vehicle battery to the outside is provided. The device includes an inverter circuit having a bridge circuit with multiple switching elements and that converts the received DC power into the AC power by switching the switching elements and that outputs the AC power. A controller controls an on/off state of each switching element through pulse width modulation. When an output AC output to the load has a value greater than a preset reference value or an input direct current input into the inverter has a value greater than a preset reference value, the controller changes a duty of each switching element to reduce an output AC voltage output from the inverter. When the reduced output AC voltage has a value equal to or less than a preset reference value, the controller stops a power conversion operation of the inverter.

  • Publication number: 20240323062
Abstract: Described apparatuses and methods are directed to equalization with pulse-amplitude modulation (PAM) signaling. As bus frequencies have increased, the time for correctly transitioning between voltage levels has decreased, which can lead to errors. Symbol decoding reliability can be improved with equalization, like with decision-feedback equalization (DFE). DFE, however, can be expensive for chip area and power usage. Therefore, instead of applying DFE to all voltage level determination paths in a receiver, DFE can be applied to a subset of such determination paths. With PAM4 signaling, for example, a DFE circuit can be coupled between an output and an input of a middle slicer. In some cases, symbol detection reliability can be maintained even with fewer DFE circuits by compressing a middle eye of the PAM4 signal. The other two eyes thus have additional headroom for expansion. Encoding schemes, impedance terminations, or reference voltage levels can be tailored accordingly.

  • Publication number: 20240306270
Abstract: A method includes: sensing a first container on an electric range by using at least one loop coil; sensing removal of the first container by using at least one of working coils; sensing a second container on the electric range by using at least one of loop coils; and determining an identity of the first container and the second container. The determining the identity is on the basis of at least one of: a first similarity determined based on damping vibration in each of at least one loop coil having sensed the first container and damping vibration in each of at least one loop coil having sensed the second container; and a second similarity determined based on the number of loop coils having sensed the first container and the number of loop coils having sensed the second container.
