    Abstract: An apparatus for engaging a slotted pin comprising a cylindrical member defining a cylindrical axial pin bore and two tab slots spaced 180.degree. apart, the slots for a portion of their length connecting through the member to the bore, engaging tabs pivotally connected in the tab slots, means for biasing the tab members outwardly from the tab slots, and means for causing engagement of the tabs with the slots of a slotted pin inserted into the bore.

  • Shuttle driven separator

    Abstract: A pair of parts formed in a first stamping operation is removed from a first die press and placed on a separator assembly carried by a shuttle. As the parts are carried by the shuttle to a pair of secondary die presses, they are transversely separated by a stationary cam and a pair of cam followers carried by the shuttle. Once separated, the parts are automatically transferred into the secondary die presses.

    Abstract: Apparatus for loading sheet material into a stamping press comprising a tool releasably mounted on the outer end of a boom. The tool has grippers for picking up and releasing sheet material. The boom is advanced lengthwise into the press where the grippers release the sheet material for stamping. The boom can be swung laterally to a tool-charting position where the tool can be changed easily and safely.
