A category for the item may be determined. An impact on the user's retirement income growth based on the TCO obligation for the item may be assessed. A modification to the investment strategy, the item, and/or a lifestyle interest of the user may be recommended based on the assessed retirement income growth impact and/or the category of the item. Steps to implement the recommendation may then be provided to the user.
