  • Publication number: 20240086856
Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method are provided for adaptively controlling communication activity of a communication system. The method stores user information comprising contact preferences, a goal, and account information. The system may receive external information by a trigger engine which applies a trigger rule to determine a degree of relatedness between the goal and at least one of external information and the account information. When the degree of relatedness exceeds a threshold, then the contact preferences may be used to format a communication related to the external information based on the contact preferences. The system may then send the communication to the user by the communication entity according to the contact preferences, and, based on a feedback or lack of feedback from the user related to the communication, adjust at least one of the contact preferences, the trigger rule, or a weighting factor of the trigger rule.

  • Publication number: 20210316699
Abstract: An ignition start system in which authentication of a key is carried out twice, first to activate the ignition switch to allow starting the engine and second at the time prior to moving the vehicle from a parked position. The two step authentication prevents driving off in a car that has been started without having the key for security purposes and also to avoid inconvenient situations that can otherwise occur.

  • Patent number: 10077021
Abstract: A keyless ignition start system in which authentication of a coded key fob is carried out twice, first to activate the ignition switch to allow starting the engine and second at the time when the brake pedal is depressed to put the car in a drive gear. The two step authentication prevents driving off a car which has been started without having the key fob for security purposes and also to avoid inconvenient situations that can otherwise occur.

  • Patent number: 9972119
Abstract: A method to display a virtual object includes receiving virtual-object data representing a virtual object, a first rendering of the virtual object being displayed on a display screen during a first interval. The method also includes receiving display-screen data indicating a physical size, position, and orientation of the display screen, and receiving display-device data indicating a position and orientation of a near-eye display device. The method includes composing a second, 3D rendering of the virtual object based on the virtual-object data and on the relative position and orientation of the display screen versus the near-eye display device, as indicated by the display-screen and display-device data, and, displaying the second rendering binocularly on the near-eye display device during a subsequent second interval, such that the second rendering coincides with the first rendering in an augmented field of view of the user.

  • Publication number: 20180046352
Abstract: A method for moving a virtual cursor on a virtual reality computing device including a display comprises presenting a virtual cursor at a first screen-space position that occludes a world-space position of a first object, the virtual cursor having a first world-space position based on the first screen-space position and the world-space position of the first object. Based on receiving an input, the method includes moving the virtual cursor from the first screen-space position to a second screen-space position that occludes a world-space position of a second object, the virtual cursor having a second world-space position based on the second screen-space position and the world-space position of the second object. While the virtual cursor is presented at an intermediate screen-space position, the method includes assigning an intermediate world-space position based on the intermediate screen-space position and simulated attractive forces for each of the first and second objects.
