    Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a method of populating a list of transaction participants with the aliases of individuals and entities that can participate in P2P transactions. In some embodiments, the list of transaction participants is a list of payment recipients to whom the user can make P2P payments and the list is populated with a third party's alias. In other embodiments, the list of transaction participants in a list of recipients to whom a third party can make P2P payments and the list is populated with the user's alias. In some embodiments, a method is provided that includes: (1) receiving information associated with a party to a financial transaction with a user; (2) determining, at least partially on the information associated with the party, that the party can participate in a P2P transaction with the user; and (3) populating a list of P2P transaction participants with an alias identifier.
