    Abstract: According to one embodiment of the invention, a system for housing electronic equipment includes a slide assembly configured to mount to either an inner top or inner bottom of a rack and a pair of opposed side panels coupled to the slide assembly. Each side panel has a plurality of ledges extending inwardly therefrom that are configured to support respective ones of a plurality of electronic units. The slide assembly is operable to extend the side panels outwardly from a front of the rack a distance that allows access to an area between the rears of the side panels.
