A cover is removably positioned on the shopping cart such that the cover lines the storage section. The cover extends over the handle to inhibit bacteria from being transferred from the handle when the handle is gripped. The cover extends over the seat to inhibit bacteria from being transferred from the seat when the seat is sat upon.
