    Abstract: A backlight assembly includes a light guide plate, a light source module spaced apart by a gap from the guide plate, a receiving container and a gap adjusting element. The gap adjusting element is inter-coupled between the receiving container and the light source module and is actuatable to adjust the gap distance between the light source module and the light guide plate. Accordingly, a display quality may be prevented from being decreased, and the productivity may be enhanced.
