  • Patent number: 9119126
Abstract: A handover decision is capable of lowering a handover failure rate of horizontal handover between a source base station and a target base station in a wireless communication system. After deciding a target base station to which the mobile terminal is to be handed over, a hysteresis value for determining a handover execution point is decided, and execution of the handover of the mobile terminal occurs when a difference between the received signal strength of a signal received from the target base station to the mobile terminal and the received signal strength of a signal received from the source base station to the mobile terminal is continuously maintained at the hysteresis value or above during a predetermined time.

  • Patent number: 8558780
Abstract: A display apparatus includes a backlight assembly, a first display panel assembly and a second display panel assembly. The backlight assembly includes a plurality of lamps disposed substantially parallel with each other. The backlight assembly emits first light through a first face and second light through a second face. The first display panel assembly is disposed adjacent to the first face to receive the first light. The second display panel assembly is disposed adjacent to the second face to receive the second light. The backlight assembly may further include a driving inverter electrically connected to first and second ends of the lamps to provide the lamps with driving voltages. Therefore, the backlight assembly applies light to the first and second display panel assemblies to reduce the number of backlight assemblies. Therefore, costs for manufacturing a display apparatus may be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20060158897
Abstract: In a backlight assembly and an LCD apparatus including a receiving unit formed by an injection molding process, a plurality of sidewalls is protruded from a bottom plate, and a receiving space is defined by the sidewalls and the bottom plate. A strength-reinforcing member is formed on a rear surface of the bottom plate to thereby reinforce a bending strength of the bottom plate. Accordingly, the receiving unit for receiving a lamp unit is formed using a material used with an injection molding process, and the strength-reinforcing member reinforces the bending strength of the bottom plate. Cost and weight of the backlight assembly and the LCD apparatus may be sufficiently reduced.

  • Publication number: 20060139919
Abstract: In a receiving container, a backlight assembly having the receiving container, and a display device having the backlight assembly, the receiving container includes a bottom plate, sidewalls, and optical support members. The sidewalls extend from an edge of the bottom plate. The sidewalls are connected to each other to define a receiving recess therebetween. The optical support members protrude from a front face of the bottom plate to support optical units thereon. The optical support members are integrally formed with the bottom plate. The bottom mold is integrally formed with lamp supporters and/or dispersion plate support members. Thus, cost required for manufacturing the bottom mold is relatively low. In addition, time required for manufacturing the bottom mold is relatively short. Furthermore, a light leakage is prevented between the bottom mold and the optical support members.
