  • Patent number: 8657255
Abstract: Embodiments of an aircraft valve assembly are provided for use in conjunction with a selected type of clamp having multiple segments separated by a predetermined gap spacing. In one embodiment, the aircraft valve assembly includes a flowbody having a ported end portion and a flow passage in which a valve element is movably mounted. An array of baulking tabs is mounted around the ported end portion at predetermined intervals corresponding to the predetermined gap spacing to substantially limit the type of clamps installable around the ported end portion to the selected type of clamp.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 8, 2010
Date of Patent: February 25, 2014
    Assignee: Honeywell International Inc.
Inventors: Craig M. Goodman, Dori Marshall, Dan E. Hitzler
  • Patent number: 8376311
Abstract: An adjustable valve assembly is disclosed. The valve assembly comprises a mounting portion and an adjustment assembly comprising an adjustable member threadably engaged with the mounting portion, the adjustable member adapted to change its position relative to the mounting portion when rotated and a clevis coupled to the adjustable member, wherein the position of the clevis relative to the mounting portion is adjustable by rotation of the adjustable member.

    Assignee: Honeywell International Inc.
    Inventors: Dori Marshall, Larry Kelly
  • Patent number: 8201334
Abstract: A roller bearing assembly includes an annular outer ring with first and second outer ring shoulders that define a first raceway in the outer ring. An annular inner ring may be disposed substantially concentrically within the outer ring, the inner ring including a base portion and first and second inner ring shoulders that extend from and are integral with the base portion to define a second raceway in the inner ring. A plurality of rolling elements may be arranged between the inner ring and outer ring and within the first and second raceways to rotatably couple the outer ring to the inner ring.

  • Publication number: 20070220987
Abstract: A pressure pickup probe assembly includes a probe housing, a plurality of openings, and a pickup probe. The probe housing is configured to be mounted within, and extend at least substantially across, a flow passage. The probe housing further includes at least an inner surface and an outer surface. The probe housing inner surface defines at least a plenum therein. The plurality of openings is formed in the probe housing, and each opening extends between the probe housing inner and outer surfaces and is in fluid communication with the probe housing plenum. The pickup probe is disposed at least partially within the probe housing, and has at least a first end, a second end, and a bore extending between the first and second ends and that is in fluid communication with the probe housing plenum.

  • Patent number: 6684898
Abstract: An air turbine starter valve able to open despite being frozen shut. Dual actuators apply sufficient torque upon an air turbine starter valve to overcome obstructions presented by frozen moisture. By applying separate and generally-aligned torques, the actuators are able to provide sufficient force to overcome the adhesion provided by frozen moisture between the valve plate and adjacent structures.
