Abstract: A two-piece pallet fastener for securing a pallet element to a base pallet is disclosed. The fastener includes a sleeve having internal, male protrusions and a rivet having external, female threads. The sleeve is installed in a pallet base and the rivet is inserted through the part to be attached to the pallet base and into the sleeve. The sleeve includes a rivet-receiving end having an alignment feature and an anchoring end. The anchoring end includes flexible legs having external shoulders. The rivet includes a head and a shaft. The head includes an alignment feature. The shaft includes external, female threads and two or more axially-aligned longitudinal grooves. One or more detents are formed on the rivet for engagement with the interior surface of the sleeve. The detents are provided to produce a ratchet-type effect to assure that the rivet is locked into the sleeve.

Abstract: An enclosure for a wire connection includes a base and a cover. The base includes a bottom and a pair of longitudinal sidewalls disposed between the first and second ends. The cover includes a main body and a first wire securing member. According to one aspect, the cover further includes a second wire securing member. In another aspect, the first and second wire securing members are configured to engage first and second wires, respectively, to reduce strain on a connection between the first and second wires. In a further aspect, the first wire securing member is configured to engage the first wire to create a first bend in the first wire that extends into a first opening in the bottom of the base to reduce strain on the connection.

Abstract: A clamp forming apparatus capable of forming a clamp is shown and described. The clamp formed may have first and second engaging portions. The clamp forming apparatus may include at least one securing member. The clamp forming apparatus may also include a clamp positioning device operatively engaged with the at least one securing member, where at least one of the first or second engaging portions is supported by the clamp positioning device, and where a tangential load is applied around a circumference of the clamp and the at least one securing member secures at least one of the engaging portions of the clamp together in a direction generally normal to the tangential load.

The fastener may also include a retention feature laterally spaced from the board connecting member, where the retention feature is capable of engaging the second decking board.
