Abstract: The present disclosure relates to micellar compositions conformed by biomimetic phospholipids and nonionic surfactants, among other ingredients, for eliminating one or more types of microorganisms including mycobacteria, bacteria, fungi, and viruses from a surface within a contact time on the surface of less than about 1 minutes and having pH of from about 0.3 to 8. The present invention aims on using 100% bio-based (renewable) biodegradable, non-toxic ingredients to be applied not only to hard inanimate surfaces but also on tissue for endodontic applications.

Abstract: Methods and systems for tracking a cassette containing one or more instruments in an instrument reprocessing are provided. A method for tracking an cassette housing one or more instruments in an instrument reprocessing, comprising: sterilizing, at a sterilizer, the cassette; receiving, at a server, a chemical indicator identification encrypted by a private key after the cassette is sterilized; decrypting, at the server, the chemical indicator identification with a corresponding public key; and in response to decryption of the chemical indicator identification, authenticating, at the server, the chemical indicator identification.

Abstract: A sterilizer for medical instruments is compact and designed to be placed on a table top. The sterilizer provides includes a cavity for receiving a cassette holding the instruments to be sterilized. A stream circuit provides steam to the cassette for sterilization, and the time required for sterilization is reduced by withdrawing air from the cassette by application of a vacuum. The cavity is evacuated at the same time as the cassette to prevent application of high stresses to the cassette during the vacuum-assisted withdrawal of air. The time for sterilization is further reduced by use of dual heat exchangers to reduce the volume removed from the cassette.

Abstract: A steam on demand generator uses a stainless steel cup and cap arrangement and hollow cone spray nozzle. The nozzle directs a cone of water onto a wall of the cup. A heating device and a thermocouple are brazed to the cup, with the thermocouple positioned on a part of the wall to enhance control of the operation and steam generation.

Abstract: An automated system to identify, analyze and record information associated with disinfection and/or sterilization procedures. Individual processing and client devices communicate via a computer network. The client devices such as desktop computers terminals, hand-held devices and/or process devices such as sterilizers, autoclaves, washing and/or disinfection devices are distributed among a health care facility more specifically disinfection and/or sterilization facilities that require processing of surgical instruments. The network server exchanges a variety of information with client devices as well as disinfection and/or sterilization equipment. In response to information from equipment and/or client devices, the network server may trigger decision messages to equipment and/or client devices, as well as generate reports for record keeping or maintenance purposes.
