  • Patent number: 7001977
Abstract: The present invention relates to adducts obtainable by reaction of: A) an amine compound containing 2 or more than 2 amino groups: with B) a polyalkylene glycol monoglycidyl ether of general formula (I), in which R independently of one another (for n>1), is an —H or —CH, radical, and n=1 to 50, characterized in that the reaction ratio of components A) and B) is selected in such a way that the resultant adduct contains 2 or more than 2 amine hydrogen groups: to curable compositions based on these adducts with epoxy resins, and to the use of these curable compositions as casting resin, adhesive, matrix resin, tooling resin or as coating composition, in particular for self-flowing coatings.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 6, 2002
Date of Patent: February 21, 2006
Assignee: Huntsman Advanced Materials Americas Inc.

  • Patent number: 6040385
Abstract: Plastisol adhesion promoters of amidoamines, imidoamines, and esteramines are prepared from copolymers of monounsaturated carboxylic acids, or their derivatives, ethylenically unsaturated compounds, in particular .alpha.-olefins, and polyamines.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 15, 1994
Date of Patent: March 21, 2000
Assignee: Air Products and Chemicals, Inc.
Inventors: Albert Van De Berg, Doris Fitzek
  • Patent number: 5045230
Abstract: Thickening agents for aqueous systems are prepared by reacting aliphatic alcohols containing 8 to 22 carbon atoms with an ethylene oxide/propylene oxide mixture, then reacting the resulting polyether with 5 to 20 moles of ethylene oxide, and reacting the resulting alkoxylation product with a diepoxide, with 0.5 to 3 moles of alkoxylation product being used in the combination reaction per mole of diepoxide. The thickening agents may be blended with low molecular weight alcohol ethoxylates, and are especially suitable for hydraulic fluids.
