Abstract: The present invention pertains to a method for encapsulating a liquid or pasty substance in a cross-linked encapsulation material, characterized in that the liquid or pasty substance and an inorganic at least partially condensed and organic polymerizable inorganic-organic hybrid material are co-extruded as a cross-linkable precursor material of the encapsulation material through a nozzle, such that the cross-linkable precursor material surrounds the liquid or pasty substance, whereupon the co-extruded material is passed through a zone, in which a cross-linking of the precursor material is brought about.
