  • Publication number: 20150232595
Abstract: Described is a resin mixture comprising a vinyl ester resin and a co-polymerizable compound, which bears at least two methacrylate groups, some of which is replaced by an itaconic acid ester. It is possible to control the properties of the composition, such as the curing, through the selection of the itaconic acid ester. In addition and beyond this feature, it is possible to formulate resin compositions that exhibit a certain amount of bio-based carbon.

  • Patent number: 6080822
Abstract: A copolymer comprisinga) a segment A with a number-average molar mass Mn of from 1000 to 20,000 g/mol, which hasi) units 1, which have been derived from structures of the formula (I) ##STR1## where the radicals R.sup.1 and R.sup.2, independently of one another, are a hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine or bromine atom or a branched or unbranched alkyl or alkoxy radical having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms; and/orii) units 2, which are derived from structures of the formula (II) ##STR2## and b) a segment B, derived from a polyarylene sulfide structure of the formula (IV) ##STR3## where Ar is an aromatic radical, or more than one condensed aromatic radicals, and n is a number from 2 to 100, in particular from 5 to 20, together with a process for its preparation, and also its use for compatibilizing blends made from polyarylene sulfides and aromatic polyesters.

  • Patent number: 5677394
Abstract: A melt-processable block copolyesterimide comprising the repeating units (I), (II) and (III) and, optionally, a repeating unit (IV), wherein (I) is a repeating unit of the formula ##STR1## wherein R is an aliphatic polyether chain and/or a polysiloxane chain; (II) and (III) are repeating units of the formulas ##STR2## wherein Z is hydrogen, alkyl, alkoxy, aryl, halogen and w is zero or one; and (IV) is a repeating unit of the formula ##STR3## wherein Z' is hydrogen, alkyl, alkoxy, aryl or halogen and the phenylene ring is substituted in by Z' in the m- or p-positions. The repeating unit of formula (I) is present in an amount of 5 to 50 mole-%, the repeating unit of formula (II) is present in an amount of 10 to 80 mole-%, the repeating unit of formula (III) is present in an mount of 5 to 50 mole-% and the repeating unit of formula (IV) is present in an amount of 0 to 45 mole-% of the block copolyesterimide.

  • Patent number: 5091494
Abstract: The invention relates to new aromatic/aliphatic and/or alicyclic copolyester amides with high molecular weights, without crosslinking. A subsequent solid phase condensation is avoided or is greatly limited in time. The occurrence of thermal decomposition reactions, dark discolorations of the polymers as well as the formation of block structures are avoided.
