Abstract: An electronic unit for a vehicle, comprising surface elements arranged next to one another with a visible surface side and a surface underside is disclosed. The surface elements are fixed in a housing. The housing has a top side facing the surface underside and an underside, wherein a carrier plate is provided. Each housing on its underside has at least one protruding fixing element for fixing the surface elements to the carrier plate. The carrier plate connects the surface elements together, wherein each fixing element has an index element arranged on the fixing element between the carrier plate and the underside and is releasably connected to the fixing element. The index elements are connected to the carrier plate by substance bonding so each surface element is releasably fixed to the carrier plate, and wherein by the index elements, the surface elements are arranged relative to and level with one another.

Abstract: Novel surfactant compounds are provided of the formula R--CO--NH--(C.sub.2 H.sub.4 O).sub.n --CH.sub.2 COOH, wherein R--CO-- is the residue of at least one aliphatic carboxylic acid of 6-22 carbon atoms and n represents a number having an average of 2-10, as well as their salts with alkali metals, ammonium and amines. These compounds possess not only a low primary toxicity, but also a low secondary toxicity for the skin, and accordingly they are especially useful in cosmetic compositions, compositions for non-automatic dishwashing and laundering compositions for the fine laundry.

Abstract: Nontoxic, aqueous, contact lens cleaning compositions containing a weakly anionic surfactant, and optionally also a chelating agent, urea and/or a source of hydrated protons, and methods of chemically removing protein, lipid and calcium deposits from contact lens utilizing these compositions are described.

Abstract: A sustained release drug delivery system suitable for ophthalmic use is described. The delivery system utilizes a cationic polymer (polyquat) to deliver a drug residue. The drug residue delivered may comprise an anionic drug or a drug-carrier complex.

Abstract: A nontoxic, aqueous, contact lens cleaning solution containing a mixture which includes a nonionic or weakly anionic surfactant, a chelating agent, a source of hydrated protons, and optionally also urea; and a method of chemically removing protein, lipid and calcium deposits from contact lens utilizing this solution are described.

Abstract: The improved polymeric hydrogel suitable for use in forming soft contact lenses is described. The hydrogel is improved by means of its resistance to the formation of calcium, lipid and protein deposits thereon. This resistance is achieved by means of covalent modification of the hydrogel with a surfactant.
