Publication number: 20240384936Abstract: A cooling system includes a heat exchanger having one or more rows of multiple flat tubes, louvered fins disposed between pairs of flat tubes, and special header tube connections to form a counter flow heat exchanger. Heat exchangers having multiple rows may be placed near or close to the server racks and may be in fluid communication with an outdoor heat exchanger having one or more rows. A single-phase fluid is pumped through a fluid circuit or loop, which includes the heat exchangers at the server racks and the outdoor heat exchanger. The single-phase fluid circuit including the heat exchangers at the IT racks may alternatively be in thermal communication with a water circuit that includes an outdoor fluid cooler. The flat tubes can be formed tubes with one or more channels, or extruded tubes with multiple channels. The heat exchangers include header tubes/connections, which facilitate easy fabrication and connection between rows and inlet/outlet, and lower the pressure drop.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 25, 2024Publication date: November 21, 2024Applicant: INERTECH IP LLCInventors: Ming Zhang, Ken Nguyen, Doron Shapiro, John Costakis

Publication number: 20240381588Abstract: Modular air cooling and distribution systems include a fan and heat exchanger cooling assembly and a controller which controls the fan speed based on temperature and velocity measurements. The cooling assembly includes a fluid-to-air heat exchanger and a variable speed fan. The fluid in the fluid-to-air heat exchanger may be propylene glycol or water. The heat exchanger minimizes pressure drop and maximizes heat transfer. The quantity of cooling assemblies is selected to match the indoor cooling requirements. The cooling assemblies are easily assembled together, stacked vertically, and/or connected horizontally, to match the cooling load. If additional cooling capacity is needed in the future, more cooling assemblies can easily be added, and the cooling assemblies may be expanded vertically and/or horizontally. The speed of the fans of the fan and heat exchanger assemblies are controlled based on fluid temperature and fluid velocity measurements, which may be obtained by an anemometer.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 12, 2024Publication date: November 14, 2024Applicant: INERTECH IP LLCInventors: John Costakis, Ken Nguyen, Ming Zhang, Doron Shapiro

Publication number: 20240172402Abstract: A cooling system and method of controlling are disclosed. The cooling system includes a high-temperature circuit with a relatively high temperature evaporator and a relatively low temperature circuit with a low temperature evaporator. The cooling system enables a glycol-water solution to flow through the high-temperature circuit and the low-temperature circuit in series. The method of controlling provides an ability to operate the cooling system in a full free cooling mode using no compressors, a partial free cooling mode using one or more compressors, and in a mechanical cooling mode using one or more compressors.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 20, 2023Publication date: May 23, 2024Applicant: THERMAL WORKS LLCInventors: Doron Shapiro, Paul Tarangelo

Patent number: 11636162Abstract: A document review system is configured to quickly provide search results for large amounts of documents. Ontology templates are used to generate objects and links based on the documents. Users can view documents, and linked objects and object properties can be displayed. An index assisted search can be performed to determine the linked objects and object properties. A supplemental search can be performed on a second database that tracks modifications to the documents or objects. The modifications in the second database can be periodically written to the first database, and the index can be rebuilt. The user experience can be free of slow searches and slow index rebuilds.Type: GrantFiled: November 16, 2021Date of Patent: April 25, 2023Assignee: Palantir Technologies Inc.Inventors: Eric Schwartz, Alexander Bores, Alexander Martino, Brendan Berg, Charles Sharzer, Doron Shapiro, Enoch Hsiao, Eric Knudson, Landon Bell, Martin Manville, Michael Platek, Nathan Bruner, Robert Giardina, Sarah Beckoff, Tri Tang, William Brady, Wenshuai Hou

Patent number: 8850838Abstract: A commercial refrigeration system has a control system which distributes intelligence to increase granularity of the control and simplify wiring, assembly and installation. Compressors of the refrigeration system each have a bus compatible compressor safety and control module including a processor and sensors. All control and safety modules communicate over a single power and communications line with the controller, providing digital transmissions to the controller of measurements taken by the sensors. The information provided may include that the compressor is outside of a specific safety parameter, so that the controller knows not only that a safety parameter has been traversed, but exactly which one. The control and safety modules are capable of executing commands from the controller to cycle the compressors. The control and safety modules preferably contain sufficient intelligence to continue system operation upon failure of the controller.Type: GrantFiled: March 14, 2001Date of Patent: October 7, 2014Assignee: Hussmann CorporationInventors: Norman E. Street, Ted W. Sunderland, Charles D. Thomas, Doron Shapiro, Michael J. D'Anna
