Content owners load content into the system or link content elsewhere to the system, and optionally designate a set of actions to be taken. Keywords are assigned to the content and actions by the system based on user input and/or auto-generation by the system. Thus, while attending a live event or performance, any of a variety of methods, including but not limited to Short Message Service (SMS) and instant messaging, are used by a user to communicate these keywords to the system, to indicate user interest in the associated content.

Abstract: Electronic and automatic gifting techniques are provided for messages, such as short message service (SMS) or multimedia messaging service (MMS) messages, wherein a gifter designates a recipient for one or more gift(s) offered in a set of gifts. Based on a selection of gift(s), message(s) are automatically generated for the gift(s) having unique identifier(s) that correspond to products or services of an enabling entity that enables the products or services. The message(s) including the unique identifier(s) are then automatically transmitted to the recipient. The unique identifier(s) can be encrypted/hashed with a secret provided by the recipient for an additional layer of security. Any of gifter information, giftee information, context of the service, or external information, such as global positioning service (GPS) location, can be used to make recommendations for gifts in the set of gifts.

The user object can be a user profile and the multi-sided user object can be a multi-sided user profile object where updates to the user profile can be made directly via a PC, or via the device via changes made to side(s) of the multi-sided user profile object. The multi-sided user object can be displayed as part of any client process, e.g., an application, a networked service or web widget display system.
