Abstract: Stator for an electric machine, having a stator core with a first end face and a second end face and a stator winding, which has multiple part windings and forms a number of phase elements. Each part winding has multiple shaped conductors, which extend through the stator core along an axial direction at predetermined angular positions in the circumferential direction, a first end portion, which comprises a free end of the part winding and protrudes from the stator core at the first end face, and a second end portion. The first end portion protrudes from the stator core at one of the predetermined angular positions and extends in the axial direction at the predetermined angular position.
