Abstract: The invention is a cross-tie used to connect two walls made of multiple bricks or blocks together so that concrete or other material can be poured into the cavity between the walls to form a single strong, dense wall. The cross-tie can also be used to attach decorative veneers to a wall. One embodiment of the cross-tie of the invention includes an inserting portion, a sleeve portion, and a wedge that is used to link the inserting portion and the sleeve portion. Another embodiment of the cross-tie includes an inserting portion and a sleeve portion that are linked by being glued together.
