    Abstract: A low-viscosity, high pH antacid composition comprising: sodium bicarbonate, potassium bicarbonate; calcium carbonate, sweetener, and water. The concentration of sodium bicarbonate in the composition of the invention is preferably in the range of from 1% to 3% by weight. The concentration of potassium bicarbonate in the composition of the invention is preferably in the range of from 0.5% to 1% by weight. The concentration of calcium carbonate in the composition of the invention is preferably in the range of from 0.25% to 1% by weight. The concentration of sweetener in the composition of the invention is preferably in the range of from 0.02% to 0.04% by weight. The remainder of the composition is a low viscosity transport agent, such as water. Additionally, stabilizers may be added and flavoring/coloring agents may be added.
