  • Publication number: 20240154597
Abstract: An acoustic resonator is provided that includes a substrate; a piezoelectric layer having a portion that forms a diaphragm over a cavity; and IDT on the piezoelectric layer that includes a first conductor level including first and second busbars disposed on respective portions of the piezoelectric layer, a first set of elongated fingers extending from the first bus bar onto the diaphragm, and a second set of elongated fingers extending from the second bus bar onto the diaphragm, the second set of elongated fingers interleaved with the first set of elongated fingers. The acoustic resonator also includes a second conductor level over the piezoelectric layer and covering at least portions of the first and second busbars.

  • Publication number: 20220120326
Abstract: Resiliently flexible articles include a resiliently flexible element, a first rigid element, and a second rigid element. The resiliently flexible element is formed of a fiber reinforced polymeric composite. The first rigid element is formed of a first thermoplastic composition and at least a portion of the first rigid element is bonded, such as by an overmolding process, onto a first portion of the resiliently flexible element. Similarly, the second rigid element is formed of a second thermoplastic composition and at least a portion of the second rigid element is bonded, such as by an overmolding process, onto a second portion of the resiliently flexible element. The resiliently flexible articles can be useful as springs, limbs, living hinges, and the like.

  • Publication number: 20150187459
Abstract: A thermoplastic compound is disclosed which has low specific gravity by virtue of the use of glass microspheres. Underwater articles, especially wire and cable, benefit from the insulative and buoyancy effect of using the thermoplastic compound with the other article components, engineered using buoyancy calculations to have consistent neutral buoyancy for reduced energy expenditure and convenient maneuverability of the underwater articles as if they were floating in outer space.
