Abstract: A rotating display, for creating a three-dimensional image, that includes a display panel configured to rotate about an axis and comprising a plurality of groups of light emitting elements, with each element being individually controllable and configured to display a plurality of pixels of the image, a processor to receive pixel data for the display panel and divide the data into a plurality of pixel data lines, each line comprising pixel data for only one of the groups of light emitting elements, a buffer to receive one or more of the data lines, for each group of light emitting elements, and a demultiplexer configured to receive a pixel data line and provide pixel data to each light emitting element according to a refresh rate of the display panel. The display panel is configured to rotate about the axis at a rate commensurate with the refresh rate of the display panel.
