  • Publication number: 20230291143
Abstract: An inline implantable connector device can provide an increased volume density to medical device systems in a limited volume. The inline implantable connector device can have a claim-shell design with a first half and a second half, each having a conductive path in a same design. The second half is turned and flipped by 180 degrees to mate with the first half so that the conductive paths interconnect to form electrical and mechanical interconnections that are fundamentally transverse to the direction of the incoming or outgoing lead wires. A first screw hole on a top side of the connector device can accept a screw therethrough; and a second screw hole on a bottom side of the connector device can accept another screw therethrough.

  • Publication number: 20070279895
Abstract: A modular lighting system for lighting a work area is disclosed. The system includes a power supply with power outlets for powering LED fixtures. The power supply preferably operates at or below a fixed power output level, such as to illuminate the work area using less than 0.2 Watts per square foot of energy. The lighting system also includes an occupancy sensor and/or a light level sensor for controlling lighting levels in the work area in response to detection of a person, ambient light levels and/or a combination thereof. The lighting system can also include computer unit with a micro-processor and a memory unit for running software or firmware the executes lighting programs, stores light usage histories and/or provides system reports to a remote computer by a wireless means and/or over a computer network.

  • Publication number: 20070145826
Abstract: A system and architecture for managing lighting through a seamless low-voltage bus network is disclosed. The system comprises a plurality of control units that serve as nodes for integrating devices, such as light fixtures, control switches and sensors into the bus. Each of the control units preferably includes a printed circuit board and node interconnects for assembling the low-voltage bus and for integrating the devices. Alternatively, the system comprises a central hub with a master printed circuit control board and a plurality of interconnects for assembling the bus and for integrating the devices.

  • Patent number: 5839117
Abstract: A computerized system and method for providing event-driven routing to provide user assistance and marketing functions in an order entry system is provided. One or more user-initiated events capable of being recognized by the computer are defined, as are one or more application points. Each of the application points is associated with at least one of the user-initiated events. An action is assigned to each of the application points. The actions assigned to a particular application point are dynamically invoked upon initiation of the user-initiated event associated with that application point, so the user is provided with the action at a point during the placement of an order at which the action is needed.

  • Patent number: 5832459
Abstract: A computerized source searching system and method for the placement of an order for at least one offer via a terminal having a display is disclosed. The system includes system storage for storing offer information, and for storing electronic reproductions of offer sources corresponding to the offer information. The system includes source searching capabilities for locating an offer source, including a display for displaying electronic offer source images, a filtering mechanism for displaying electronic offer source images corresponding to entered source search criteria, and a selection mechanism for selecting one of the electronic offer source images displayed. One or more of the offers associated with the selected electronic offer source image can be located by displaying a segment of the electronic offer source image, and selecting one or more offers in that segment. A user can thereby locate an offer by searching through an electronic equivalent of the offer source used by the person placing the order.

  • Patent number: 5048552
Abstract: A trip valve operator for actuating quarter turn valves comprises a return actuator, multi-stage leverage means for reducing the trigger load, a trigger, and one or more sensors or other trip actuators. The multi-stage leverage means comprises pivotally connected levers in series which form a compact mechanism, variously taking the form of four bar linkage or concatenated four bar linkage, that produces high leverage and low frictional holding torques at the reset position for reliable triggering, and that accommodates quarter turn actuation and can be single action reset. The operating areas of the successive stages of leverage overlap. Other multi-stage leverage means includes a leveraging release lever in which the short leverage arm has a land which lies in a radial plane with respect to the mounting pivot thereof for engaging a previous stage of leverage. Reset is provided by arm means which re-engage near the reset position.

  • Patent number: 4869459
Abstract: A spring return valve operator for actuating a valve is comprised of a spring return actuator which is loadmatched to a valve load and extracts a large fraction of its spring energy storage capacity, and a controlled actuator which is load matched to the valve load and the spring return actuator retensioning load. Within the spring return actuator, the output of nested torsion springs is transformed into various torque outputs, particularly constant torque outputs and increasing torque outputs. Spring output is transformed by eccentric spool and flexible element mechanisms or by four bar mechanisms through changes in leverage produced by varying torque arms. The output of a controlled actuator can be transformed into torque outputs which are decreasing, increasing, etc., using eccentric spool and flexible element mechanisms or using four bar mechanisms in order to produce a loadmatch to the valve load.
