    Abstract: A cable clamp for temporarily gripping an end length of cable comprises a tubular member having a side slot extending the length of the tubular member to allow a cable to be inserted into and removed from inside the tubular member. Spring means urge a bar situated within the tubular member against cable extending through the tubular member, and a handle extending outside the tubular member allow the user to rapidly clamp and unclamp the cable.
