  • Patent number: 6587228
Abstract: A method and apparatus for double-sided scanning of a paper document comprising diagonally offset scanner and traction pinch roller pairs thereby forming a zero-gravity traction feed. The zero-gravity traction feed allows the scanning apparatus to be oriented in varying positions while maintaining full operation. The scanner is adapted to scan a two-sided document by flip-flopping between two scanners whose field of views each face opposing sides of the document.

  • Publication number: 20030108270
Abstract: An optical transmission apparatus including a port for connection to an optical fiber for releasing non-visible laser light for transmission through the optical fiber. The optical transmission apparatus includes a visible light generator optically connected to the port for releasing at the port a visible light tracer for propagation in the optical fiber with the non-visible laser light.
