  • Publication number: 20170113205
Abstract: Disclosed is a metal-organic framework (MOF) body comprising MOF crystallites adhered to each other via a MOF binder. In one embodiment, the body consists of: MOF crystallites; a MOF binder which binds the crystallites together in the body; optionally, residual solvent; and optionally, one or more additives, wherein the additives are present at a level of not more than 10% by mass. The MOF binder may have substantially the same composition as the MOF crystallites. Alternatively, the MOF binder may have a different composition to the MOF crystallites.

  • Patent number: 7163129
Abstract: A storage unit is rotatably mounted on one end of a liquid beverage container and contains a plurality of packets. Each packet has a flexible top and a frangible bottom and a flavored tablet is stored in each packet. The tablets dissolve in the liquid stored in the container when dropped thereinto and can be of various flavors to add flavors to the liquid contained in the container.

  • Publication number: 20060041442
Abstract: An information model for a party and property records management system includes a legal party role object for maintaining relationships between objects, such as legal party objects and revenue-object objects, within the information model. A legal party object could have several associated objects, such as an identification number object or a legal party communication object.

  • Publication number: 20040081263
Abstract: A receiver (112, 412) and method for receiving signals within a system of space-frequency or space-time orthogonal frequency division multiplexed signals (OFDM) for transmitter diversity includes a signal processor (123, 423) for restoring a cyclic property to these signals to provide a reconstructed output signal. The signal processor (123, 423) performs cyclic reconstruction on the received signal based on channel impulse estimates and an iterative recovery process.

  • Publication number: 20030093947
Abstract: A plant display comprises a transparent container and a plant receptacle. The transparent container has an inner surface that defines an interior volume, which is adapted to be at least partially occupied by a substantially transparent liquid. The plant receptacle is positioned at least partially within the interior volume of the transparent container. The receptacle is placed within the container in a manner so that at least a portion of the receptacle is below a surface of the liquid occupying the container. The receptacle has an outer surface with at least one recess, which is at least partially occupied by a substrate medium. The recess and substrate medium occupying the recess are adapted to hold a live plant growing therein. The recess is located in a portion of the outer surface of the receptacle that is at least partially below the surface of the liquid so that the plant is at least partially below the surface of the liquid.

  • Patent number: 4090670
Abstract: Rubber is recovered for re-use e.g. from scrap pneumatic tires by briefly raising a surface of the tire to a high temperature and then rasping the heat-treated surface. Tires reinforced either with a textile or a steel ply can first be parted on opposite sides of the breaker structure. A machine is provided which accepts pieces of vulcanized material and progressively reduces them to heat-treated particles by repetitively heating a surface of each piece and attacking it with a rasping tool.
