  • Publication number: 20240243593
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a wireless mouse charging dock with a housing which is shaped to receive and charge a wireless mouse with a vertically oriented charging port on its bottom surface while facilitating continued use of the docked mouse. This is achieved by a housing having a compact, curved profile with a flat bottom surface that allows the charging dock to glide over a substrate similarly to a wireless mouse itself, and by having a receiving area that cradles the mouse and which has an opening formed therein that provides an unobscured view of said substrate to the mouse sensor.

  • Publication number: 20230372385
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to a method for re-activating the X-chromosome in cells comprising administering a SPEN inhibitor to the cell. Further aspects relate to a method for re-activating the X-chromosome in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering a SPEN inhibitor to the subject. Yet further aspects relate to a method for treating Rett Syndrome in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering a SPEN inhibitor to the subject. Aspects of the disclosure relate to a method for re-activating the X-chromosome in cells comprising administering a PTBP1 inhibitor and a DNA demethylating agent to the cell. Further aspects relate to a method for re-activating the X-chromosome in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering a PTBP1 inhibitor and a DNA demethylating agent to the subject.

  • Publication number: 20200378228
Abstract: A method of managing a liquid solvent inventory in a condensing solvent gravity drainage extraction chamber includes growing the extraction chamber by injecting a solvent vapour under conditions which cause at least a portion of the solvent vapour to condense on a hydrocarbon extraction interface at a condensation temperature, then accumulating within the extraction chamber condensed liquid solvent which is draining through the chamber under the influence of gravity, which liquid solvent includes a hydrocarbon rich fluid production layer which is proximal to said extraction interface, and then heating a portion of the extraction chamber from a location near, in and/or above the injector to create a heated zone having a temperature above the condensation temperature without heating the hydrocarbon rich production layer to permit the hydrocarbon rich production layer to continue to drain to a production well.

  • Patent number: 5570537
Abstract: This insecticidal cable has a pair or pairs of exposed electrical conductive wire for use in a fly control apparatus. An electronic control unit provides pulsed high voltage between the parallel exposed conductive wires. Insects which contact either one or both of the pair of conductive wires are killed by destruction of the insect nervous system. The cable both supports the conductive wires and holds them with the correct separation. The apparatus is used to destroy flies in stables, poultry houses, and other structures.

  • Patent number: 4722763
Abstract: A method of making single crystals of metal or other crystallizing materials whereby powders of irregular shaped single crystal particles (as small as 325 mesh or about 50 microns) may be readily and economically made. Said method comprises the steps of: (a) forming thin individual coatings on each of said particles such as oxides of metals on metal particles; (b) adding a combustible material to the coated particles and subjecting the combustible material to combustion; (c) melting the particle material within said coatings which function as individual particle crucibles; (d) cooling the melted particles within the coatings to form individual single crystals each within its own coating; and (e) removing the coating such as by solvation with a solvent or by chemical reaction. The single crystal particles conform to the original shape of the particles which may be irregular.
