  • Publication number: 20110293492
Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods relating to advanced, high pressure oxidation are described. The devices, systems, and methods can be used to decontaminate ground water in a well or opening in a ground water table, and to recover minerals and hydrocarbons from subterranean deposits.

  • Publication number: 20090039031
Abstract: A method for inhibiting formation of hexavalent chromium during oxidative remediation of a contaminated site containing trivalent chromium is described. The method comprises introducing ozone at a first point to the contaminated site, where the ozone is introduced at a first frequency and for a first period of time, and introducing hydrogen peroxide to the contaminated site, where the hydrogen peroxide is introduced at a second frequency and for a second period of time. The first and second frequencies and first and second periods of time are selected to inhibit formation of hexavalent chromium within the site of remediation.

  • Publication number: 20080290045
Abstract: Apparatus and method relating to water decontamination, and more particularly, to removing NDMA and other organic contaminants from water using ultraviolet light in combination with ozone or ozone and peroxide, are described.

  • Patent number: 4102987
Abstract: A product mixture resulting from the reaction of an anhydrous gaseous mixture of sulfur dioxide, chlorine and hydrogen fluoride in the presence of a catalyst is heated at a temperature of at least about 35.degree. C. under pressures up to about 65 psi to effect substantial conversion of undesired free chlorine in the resulting product mixture to sulfuryl chlorofluoride. The conversion of free chlorine to sulfuryl chlorofluoride allows the use of a completely anhydrous process from which uncontaminated sulfuryl fluoride and sulfuryl chlorofluoride products can readily be obtained. A method for the production of sulfuryl chlorofluoride from said gaseous mixture is also provided.
