  • Publication number: 20070040423
Abstract: An indicating device of a bicycle standing tube comprises a supporting seat having buckling teeth; the supporting seat having an indication portion; the indication portion having indications; a clamping device having engaging teeth engageable to the buckling teeth of the supporting seat; each of two sides of an tooth at a center portion of the engaging teeth having a rib; arrangement of the engaging teeth being corresponding to the indications of the indication portion so that the indications of the indication portion can indicate the orientation of the engaging teeth and the ribs being used as a reference point in adjusting the orientation of the clamping sheet. The supporting seat has an indication portion and the clamping device has an arrow so that the orientation of the cushion can be indicated by the indication portion and the arrow. The user can adjust the orientation accurately by the assistance of the indication portion.

  • Patent number: 7093910
Abstract: A bicycle rim includes a plurality of recesses defined in an inner periphery thereof and a through hole is defined through the rim and shares a common axis with the recess corresponding thereto. A plurality of spokes each have a threaded hole defined in a first end thereof which is fitted in one of the recesses and a plurality of bolts extend through the through holes and are threadedly connected to the threaded holes in the spokes. The through holes are small so that they do not reduce the structural strength of the rim and the end of each spoke is fitted in the recess to further position the spokes to the rim. A second end of each of the spokes is connected to a hub by extending a bolt through the hub and threadedly connected to the second end of each spoke.

  • Patent number: 6957856
Abstract: A bicycle seat post includes two arcuate plates and a reinforcement board sandwiched between the two arcuate plates. Each arcuate plate has two lengthwise end surfaces and each end surface includes an inner corner edge and an elongate surface defined in an outer corner edge thereof. The two lengthwise end surfaces contact two opposite sides of the reinforcement board. Each of lengthwise top surface and lengthwise bottom surface of the reinforcement board is connected between the two respective elongate surfaces of the two arcuate plates so as to form two longitudinal grooves in an outer surface of the seat post.

  • Publication number: 20050156461
Abstract: A reinforcement structure for a bicycle includes a rim, and a plurality of carbon-fiber locking blocks, spokes and screw members. The carbon-fiber locking blocks are locked on the rim by the screw members and the spokes. Each of the carbon-fiber locking blocks has a first side formed with a planar surface rested on a respective screw member and a second side formed with an arc-shaped surface closely rested on the rim. Thus, the external force applied on each of the screw members is evenly distributed by the arc-shaped surface of the respective carbon-fiber locking block, thereby preventing the screw members from being distorted due to a stress concentration, so as to enhance the safety of riding the bicycle.

  • Patent number: 6899402
Abstract: A crank includes a through hole defined in a first end thereof for receiving one of two ends of an axle in the bottom bracket, and a threaded hole defined in a second end of the crank so as to be connected with a pedal. A passage is defined through the crank and communicates with the through hole. A positioning assembly is received in the passage and includes two tubular members which are pulled toward each other by a bolt threadedly extending through the two tubular members. A concave surface is defined in each of the two tubular members so that the axle is pressed in position by the concave surfaces of the two tubular members.

  • Publication number: 20050011304
Abstract: A crank structure includes a main body, a crank shaft, and a composite material layer. In assembly, after the crank shaft is mounted on the main body in a close fit manner, the composite material layer is coated around the outer periphery of the main body, so that the main body and the crank shaft have an enhanced combination strength. Thus, the crank shaft mounted on the main body in a close fit manner will not detach from the main body during travel of the bicycle.
